Meet Our Team
105 years of experience! That alone should tell you a LOT. Few things are as personal as our tastes in art, and each staff member at Reed Arts brings a variety of experiences to their interaction with you – from backgrounds in architecture and design to fine and commercial art. Any one of us is happy to help you, but if you have a preference for working with one of us specifically, we don’t mind…consider us your personal framers! Continuing education is important, and we regularly attend conferences and seminars in order to keep up on what’s going on in custom picture framing. The framers of Reed Arts are happy to answer any questions you have about our industry, its techniques and products…just ask.

Matthew has been working within the picture framing industry since 1996, and came to Reed Arts in 2011. In college he studied graphic illustration and is an accomplished painter (view his work here). In addition to painting, Matthew enjoys carpentry and woodworking. He is our matting wizard, and uses our computerized mat cutter to create and construct unusual and challenging mat designs. Matthew now co-owns Reed Arts with his wife Erin, and together with the team the couple is looking forward to ushering in the next generation of custom framing designs and supporting art lovers throughout Central Ohio.

Erin co-owns Reed Arts with her husband Matthew. Erin went to college for business, and has spent her life in the retail industry. After over 20 years of being a visual, store and district manager, Erin has taken the leap into small business ownership. Erin mans the books, social media, supports with showroom changes, and whatever else the Reed Arts team needs. Since moving to Columbus in 2009, Erin & Matthew have put down roots in the Westerville area with their daughter Freyja, dog Bronte and three cats; Darwin, Neitzsche, and Muffin.

Erica has been working within the picture framing industry since 1999, and came to Reed Arts in 2007. Although a recipient of a CCAD scholarship, she chose instead to study literature at Ohio Dominican College, graduating summa cum laude in 1995. Erica loves history, and devotes a lot of her time reading, and spending time with her dachshund Baxter. She is a meticulous framer, and enjoys truly considering the nature of each piece of art, and what would serve it best. Please call ahead for an appointment if you want to be sure to work with her.

Jen has been working within the picture framing industry since 1997, and came to Reed Arts in 2013. She has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design, and is a mixed-media conceptual painter. Jen enjoys creating custom finishes on frames, and has 15 years of experience in antique frame restoration and gold leafing. Please call ahead for an appointment if you want to be sure to work with her.

Casey has been working in the picture framing industry since 2015, and came to Reed Arts in 2021. She has an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Sinclair Community College, and is a freelance illustrator. Along with art, Casey has interests in writing, literature and music. She likes to experience the stories behind the things people bring in to frame in order to frame it to its fullest potential. Casey recently relocated to Columbus from Eaton, and currently lives in Olde Towne East with her cat Lily.
